Flying squirrel by Catigma Flying squirrel by Catigma
I simply love squirrels! Must be one of Gods cutest creations

I went to a zoo a couple of months ago, and for the first time in my life, i saw flying squirrels. They are just beyond cute :D

I can't say I can ever match theyr cuteness with a doll, but I could try, and this is the result. Not too bad, but i see my attempt of using a more fluffy fur for the tail failed, the color combo is not optimal. I also made it a bit too fat :giggle: But fat is cute on animals, right? :aww:

This doll is made on the same prinsiple as my tutorial, all though I had a little challenge with building in the fur/skin/wing the flying squirrel has between its legs.

Head and feet are made of clay and painted with acrylics, it has a steelwire skeleton and the fur is handsewn on. Not one stich is done by machine.

This little guy is ooak, fully poseable and really soft and cuddly

This is incredible!!
I remember one time I was at petco, and this guy walks in with two sugar glider's attached to his coat!
I asked him about them and I got to hold one <3
They're so so soft, and adorable. It was such an amazing experience.
And hey if you love squirrels, I have a whole bunch of incredible pictures of them on my page :D

I'm happy to see you were able to finish your flying squirrel, once the faulty coating came off. It looks very cute and I love how the skin between the legs fold in the second picture. :D

Haha. Not much happening on my end. Got a pretty nasty cold a few days ago and am trying to recover from it.
Tried out a new fabric on Pete's leg that I ot a few days ago, but not sure if it will work or not. As soon as I got a little more and am a bit more healthy, I'll make sure to post some pictures and ask around for opinions.
